Organization of The Islamic Conference a group of Islamic nations within the UN is pressing the UN Human Rights Commission to adopt an "anti-defamation" plan that would prevent any criticism of Islam and thus ultimately make historic, orthodox Christianity illegal. Journalist Bob Unruh states, "in nations following Islam, the present practice is to use such laws to protect Islam and to attack religious minorities with penalties up to and including execution, the brief noted."
