Literally this means Fair of the Farmer or Farmers Market.  Every Saturday (sab'ado) at a nearby park (parque), roughly a half mile from our home, the local farmers set up their fruits (frutas) and vegetables on the shaded side of the jogging track at this park.  We were advised by our neighbor, Rigoberto, to purchase our fresh fruits and vegetables at the market since they are much cheaper there.  Much of the fruit is locally grown, though most common vegetables are imported.  So, we visited the market this morning and filled up the refrigerator (frigorifico).    Below are a few pictures from our trip to  the market.   Later today we plan once again to visit the Hiper Mas to pick up a few groceries and homewares.
